All of our utility surveys are carried out in accordance with BSi PAS128:2014 which is the current standard for underground utility detection, verification and location.
Ground Penetrating radar (GPR) uses radar pulses to image the subsurface. This safe but effective method uses electromagnetic radiation in the microwave band (UHF/VHF frequencies) of the radio spectrum and detects reflected signals from subsurface structures.
Our dual frequency GPR will identify the location, route and depth of existing underground infrastructure and when coupled with precision locators will allow the detection of buried services without the need to dig, making it a safe and accurate option as opposed to sourcing multiple service drawings from various utility providers which more often than not, are old, lack detail and are not 100% accurate.
